Home tutoring

Home tutoring can be a great way of giving a child a confidence boost, to assist in meeting school targets or to fill any ‘gaps’.  There are any number of reasons why a concept or subject area may be tricky for a young child and sometimes a short term boost is all that is needed.  Home tuition doesn’t need to be a long term commitment.  Please do make contact via the home page if this is something you have been considering.

“Thank you for the email report on your first two weeks with A, it was a very interesting read. A is really happy with the work you have been doing with her and looks forward to your visits.”

“A was so positive after you went, and she’s really looking forward to next week.”

“We are so pleased we picked Emma she is lovely and my 9 year old son really looks forward to his sessions which is a massive thing for him especially as he has ADHD and struggles with concentration but Emma keeps him engaged and interested for the full hour we couldn’t be happier.”

Report: Emma tutored our 7 year old daughter between Jan 2015 to July 2015. We noticed a dramatic improvement in our daughter`s reading, writing and maths skills, thanks to Emma. This was supported by our daughter`s end of year school report which noted improvement in all areas over the six month period. At the end of each session Emma provided feedback on our daughter`s progress and set an agenda for the following session, meaning we were kept up to date on progress. Our daughter is now confident about English and maths and looks forward to learning at the end of each session our daughter was on a high because of the sense of achievement in learning and understanding things she previously found difficult. This was all down to Emma`s teaching style. We`d have continued to use Emma, but sadly she moved away from Kent in August 2015. We have no hesitation in recommending Emma to other parents. Thanks again and the best of luck for the future. The Penfolds

Report: Emma has been absolutely brilliant with my daughter. Within just a few sessions her confidence within the subject has massively improved along with her skill. My daughter really looks forward to her sessions with Emma and is keen to show her the progress she has made in the past week.

I am now full.  Whilst I have no space for face to face tutoring, if you are interested in small group or online via skype, facetime or google please contact me for details.

  1. I have 3 children of school ages. 2 of them are struggling at school. Hope you can help me to help them… Stressed and scared mummy

  2. Oh Katie, don’t be stressed! I’m sure we can help, but I’m more worried about why you are scared?! If you are interested in one of the packages, I can email you, or maybe you will get ideas from following my blog/ I will be back into a routine of regular updates soon!
